Quick Summary

  • Tariffs, duties, VAT, customs brokerage, and similar government charges are paid by the customer.
  • Lead time starts only after correct manufacturing files are received and confirmed.
  • All production and shipping fees must be prepaid before shipment.
  • Claims for manufacturing defects should be reported within 30 calendar days after delivery.
  • Important special requirements should be clearly stated in the quote comments or by email before production begins.

Standard Terms & Conditions

  1. Tariffs, Duties & Taxes
All import tariffs, duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, brokerage fees, and any other government-imposed charges are the sole responsibility of the customer (consignee). PCBfabrication.com does not collect or prepay these fees unless otherwise clearly stated.
  2. No COD Shipments
PCBfabrication.com does not ship orders as Collect on Delivery (COD). All manufacturing charges and international shipping charges must be prepaid before shipment. Any additional fees charged by UPS, FedEx, DHL, customs, or local authorities must be paid directly by the customer.
  3. One-Time NRE Fee
The NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) fee covers the initial setup cost required for PCB production. This fee usually applies to the first order of a specific part number and to later design revisions. It is normally not charged again for repeat orders unless the design changes.
  4. Lead Time
Lead time refers to the number of business days between order receipt and shipment, provided that all submitted CAM files are correct, complete, and free of errors.
  5. Shipping Address
Orders will be shipped to the address specified in the quote or confirmed order information. Any shipping address change should be communicated by email at least two business days before shipment.
  6. Manufacturing & Shipping
All PCBs are manufactured in China and shipped directly to customers by carriers such as FedEx, UPS, or DHL unless a different shipping arrangement has been confirmed in advance.
  7. Quote Accuracy
Customers should carefully review all specifications, materials, dimensions, surface finish, panel requirements, and other details shown in the quotation before placing the order.
  8. Work Order Precedence
During the quoting process, we review the submitted information and identify special requirements. The final confirmed work order generated from the quote should be regarded as the main production reference.
  9. Customer Responsibility for Review
Customers are responsible for checking all quote details. If any error is found, please notify us immediately by email or phone. Any special requirement should be clearly stated in the COMMENTS section of the quote or confirmed separately in writing.
  10. Required Files for PCB Fabrication
To help avoid delay, the following files should be submitted before or within 12 hours after order placement:
    • Gerber files (RS-274-X preferred), including board outline and dimensions when applicable
    • NC drill files (Excellon format)
    • Readme or fabrication notes for any special instruction
  11. Inspection & Claims
Customers are responsible for inspecting the delivered PCBs upon receipt. Any quality issue or defect should be reported within 30 calendar days after delivery. If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, PCBfabrication.com will re-manufacture and re-ship the affected PCBs at no additional cost. However, PCBfabrication.com is not liable for consequential damages or secondary losses caused by defective PCBs.
  12. Customer Responsibility for Manufacturing Files
Customers are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness, dimensions, layer sequence, drill data, impedance requirements, polarity, and manufacturability of all submitted Gerber files, drill files, drawings, and related documentation before production. PCBfabrication.com is not responsible for design errors, missing data, or functional issues originating from customer-supplied files.
  13. Customer-Provided Carrier Accounts
If the customer provides a FedEx, UPS, DHL, or other carrier account number, the customer is responsible for all transportation charges, customs duties, brokerage fees, address correction fees, remote area charges, and related carrier liabilities associated with the shipment.
  14. Limitation of Liability
PCBfabrication.com’s total liability for any claim related to PCB fabrication, assembly, shipping, or services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the affected order. PCBfabrication.com shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of profit, business interruption, or third-party claims.
  15. Force Majeure
PCBfabrication.com shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, customs delays, carrier disruptions, government actions, material shortages, epidemics, power failures, or transportation interruptions.
  16. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
  17. Rush Order Policy
If a rush production order is not completed on time, the rush production fee may be refunded. However, PCBfabrication.com is not responsible for losses or damages resulting from shipment delay or schedule impact beyond the refund of the rush fee itself.

Additional Notes for Special Cases

Scenario Explanation
Multiple PCB items in one quote If one quote contains multiple PCB items, the quoted shipping fee is generally based on shipping all boards together to one destination in one shipment. Separate shipments or multiple destinations may require a revised shipping charge.
Manufacturer panelization If the quote is based on manufacturer panelization, the panel layout is typically made according to our standard production practice. Customers may request confirmation or review if needed before production starts.
Multilayer inner-layer sequence not specified If the customer does not clearly define the multilayer stack sequence or inner-layer arrangement, the board may be produced according to standard manufacturing experience unless otherwise agreed.
Special requirements not shown in quote Important special requirements such as UL mark, logo, impedance control, certificates, panel rails, coupons, or inspection report requests should be clearly stated in the quote comments or by email before production begins.
Note: These notes are intended to clarify common production situations. If your project includes unusual requirements, please contact us before placing the order.

Recommended Customer Checklist

  1. Check the board specifications
Confirm part number, quantity, board size, layer count, thickness, copper weight, solder mask color, silkscreen, and surface finish.
  2. Check panel requirements
If the board is panelized, confirm whether it is customer panel or manufacturer panel, and verify V-score, tab-route, rails, tooling holes, and fiducials if needed.
  3. Check documentation requirements
Confirm whether UL mark, company logo, date code, impedance, via filling, certificates, test report, or other special manufacturing requirements are needed.
  4. Check shipping arrangements
Confirm shipping address, recipient information, shipping method, own carrier account if any, and whether split shipment is needed.
